Here at Bison Ridge Kennels, we offer a wide variety of things for your pets. Whether you have a new puppy and don't want to leave them home for a few hours while your at work, or you are planning on taking a trip, we will work with you and your pets need's the best we can. We offer boarding, daycare, and grooming for cats, dogs, and other pets.

Pet Kennel- Bison Ridge Kennels Hours:

Monday- Friday: 7:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 7:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Sunday: 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.

(Limited drop-off/pickup/tour hours allows us to provide more restful, quiet times for our guests.)

Dogs

We require Rabies, Distemper, Parvo, and Bordetella (kennel cough) to be up to date while boarding.

Cats

We require Rabies, and Feline Distemper to be up to date for boarding.

Tours

We offer tours of our entire facility at anytime during our open hours. Please note that if you do come at a time that we are moving dogs to our outside play yards or moving them in, we may not be able to walk you through the back kennels due to safety and legal reasons. Our back door into the kennels has a window with a perfect view of our kennels. If you do come during these times, you are more then welcome to wait until all dogs are secured in their kennels so we can walk you safely back.

Boarding for Dogs

Bison Ridge Kennels offers both long term and short term boarding. We have two different types of kennels; an indoor kennel and an indoor/outdoor combo kennel. Our indoor kennel is a 4' x 4' kennel, while our Combos are 4' x 4' indoor kennels with a doggy door that leads to a 4' x 8' outdoor personal run. This run has an overhang to protect from the elements. It doesn't matter which kennel works best for your pet because all dogs go out a minimum of 5-6 times a day. The time they are outside varies according to weather and your pet's wants.

We require proof of Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) for all boarding dogs.

You will be charged for the day your pet comes in regardless of time. If you pick up prior to 10:00 am Mon-Sat, there is no charge for that day. A minimum stay of two days is required for all holiday bookings. PAYMENT IN FULL IS REQUIRED BEFORE PET IS RELEASED (Unless previous arrangements have been made). No pet will be released to a person who is not the owner without prior, written authorization.

INDOOR KENNELS

Small (under 40 pounds): $15.00/day

Standard (40-75 pounds): $18.00/day

Large (76-100 pounds): $20.00/day

X-Large (100+ pounds): $22.00/day

INDOOR/OUTDOOR COMBO KENNEL

No matter the size of the pet, the combo kennel is $25.00/day

MULTI PET KENNELING

Full Price for the largest pet, and 1/2 price for any additional pet in the same kennel.

We may only be able to place two pets in the same kennel due to State Regulations for the comfort of your pets.

Boarding for cats

Bison Ridge Kennels offers both long term and short term boarding for cats in a seperate cat room with lots of toys and beds. We have a window for them to bask in the sun and plenty of places to climb and hide. We do not intermingle cats but give ample time to romp and play outside of the kennels.

We require proof of Rabies and Feline Distemper vaccinations.

Prices for cats is a flat rate of $15.00 per day.

Multi-pet boarding discount applicable.

Boarding CHeckList

So you've made the decision to board your pet but don't know what to bring along? We can help with that!

Let's start with the basics, your pet will definetly need to attend their reservation! We also recommend these extra items for most stays with us.

Food

Please bring your pets normal food with instructions. We ask that it comes in a hard container like tupperware to not attract rodents into the kennel. We highly recommend keeping your pet on their normal diet to help relive some stress that comes with a new environment.

Vaccinations

Please bring a copy of your pets vaccinations or email them to us at winterbison@msn.com. Your vet can also email them to us. Without vaccinations, your pets cannot legally stay with us.

Blanket

We recommend bringing a blanket that smells like home over bringing a bed incase your pets neighbor has an accident over night. Blankets are much easier to clean then beds.

Medication

If your pet needs to take any medication please don't forget it! We recommend putting it into the container you plan to bring their food in so it dosent get left behind. We also have a fridge for wet food, insulin, raw food diets, and anything else that may need to stay cold.

Grooming

If you would like your pet to recieve some Spa-like treatment while they stay with us please ask when booking your boarding reservation as it will not be an option to fit you in on short notice when dropping off.

One thing we don't recommend is toys or chew bones. These items can slip under fences or out of kennels and may get damaged or eaten by a neighboring pet.

DAYCARE FOR DOGS, CATS, AND EXOTICS

Our daycare program provides your pet with:

Plenty of water and snacks

In-floor heat and air conditioned area

A resting area that is quiet and comfortable

Socialization for mental and physical stimulation

A happy, content dog at the end of the day that provides you with a guilt-free alternative to leaving your dog home alone all day.
We require proof of Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (kennel cough) for all daycare dogs; Feline Rabies and Feline Distemper for Cats. Please ask an associate or your Veterinarian for more information on required vaccinations exotic pets in the state of Iowa.

Daycare Rates are 15.00 per day for Dogs, 10.00 per day for Cats, 7.00 per day for exotics and Multi-pet boarding discounts are applicable.

All pets must be picked up by 5:30pm daily

Grooming

Certified groomers at Bison Ridge Kennels keep dogs looking great! Whether you want your pet to look great, or simply be clean and fresh, our groomer will take care of their needs. We offer full grooming services for dogs and bathing and nails for cats Monday-Friday, by appointment only.

All grooming services are 15% off when your pet is boarding with us.

Please book your Grooming reservations at the same time you're booking any Boarding Reservations.

We will NO LONGER be taking Grooming reservations added at the time of Drop off. All Grooming during Boarding Stays MUST be made in advance

New to Bison Ridge Kennels and want to make a resrvation but don't have time to play 20 questions on the phone with us? By filling out this form before calling, we cut our time on the phone with you inhalf! We will have to ask you some questions like when your pet is staying or if you need them groomed, but this will make it much quicker for you. We look forward to hearing from you!
